From Sunday worship to weekday service, there is a place for every person to grow, serve, and belong at Weiming.
We believe every stage of life, every cultural background, and every level of spiritual maturity deserves thoughtful, well-resourced ministry. Our programmes are designed to be accessible to newcomers and enriching for long-time members alike.
Whether you are a parent looking for a safe, nurturing environment for your children, a senior seeking connection and care, or a young professional trying to integrate faith into a busy life, Weiming has a ministry that speaks your language — sometimes quite literally.
Our weekly worship services are the cornerstone of our community life. Offered in Mandarin and English, each service features Scripture-based teaching, congregational worship, and opportunities for prayer. Services are designed for the whole family, with children's programming running concurrently during the main message.
We invest deeply in the next generation. Our children's ministry provides age-appropriate Bible teaching through story, craft, and play. The youth programme for students aged 12–18 combines relevant teaching with service projects, retreats, and peer mentorship — equipping young people to live out their faith authentically in school, at home, and in the community.
Our outreach programmes connect the church's resources to the real needs of our neighbourhood. We operate food hamper distribution, ESL tutoring for newcomers, and seasonal community meals. Partnerships with local schools, social services, and other nonprofits extend our reach and ensure our service is genuinely effective and sustainable.
Spiritual growth happens best in the context of authentic relationship. Our small groups meet weekly in homes across Burnaby, providing a space for deeper Bible exploration, honest conversation, mutual prayer, and practical support. Groups are available in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English across a variety of meeting times.
We honour the wisdom and contribution of our elder members through a dedicated seniors' fellowship programme. Monthly gatherings include devotional time, fellowship, and practical support such as transportation assistance and health-related information sessions. Many of our seniors serve as prayer warriors and mentors for younger members of the congregation.
Burnaby is a city of immigrants, and we take seriously our responsibility to welcome and support those who are new to Canada. Our newcomer integration programme offers practical help with settlement resources, language practice, cultural orientation, and — above all — genuine human connection with people who care.
We are a community that believes prayer changes things. Our weekly corporate prayer gathering brings members together to intercede for the church, the city, and the world. Personal prayer support is also available for members walking through illness, grief, family challenges, or major life transitions.
An annual community-wide celebration that honours our cultural heritage and welcomes friends from the broader neighbourhood.
Special services marking the most significant moments in the Christian calendar, designed to be accessible and meaningful for guests and members alike.
A week-long overnight camp for youth that combines adventure, community, and intentional spiritual formation in a beautiful BC setting.
Annual weekend retreat for couples to invest in their relationships through biblical teaching, guided conversation, and rest.
Partnering with local health providers to bring free or subsidised health screenings and information to our neighbourhood.
